Plywood Steelhead Salmon

This handcrafted plywood sculpture is inspired by steelhead salmon. My intention is to create a flowing sculptural piece by using a medium that is generally used for function as apposed to aesthetics. I found that when plywood was shaped, the rings created an image that reminded me of ripples in a pond. I therefore pushed the boundaries further and attempted to mimic waves during the laminating process.
